CHURCH NURSERY:

Preschool care is available for children ages birth through 3 years.

We encourage all children 4yrs and above, to sit with their parents during the Worship Services.

At First Baptist Church, we believe babies, toddlers and preschoolers have unique needs. We rely on several volunteers to provide child care during our worship service.  We encourage all our volunteers to teach, read, play at this level to engage our babies/preschoolers to learn about Jesus.

The preschool ministries are offered for your children’s benefit.  As always, parents are welcome to bring their preschoolers into the Worship Service with them if desired.

Sunday School Classes ......................................................... 9:30 am

We believe that children of all ages can learn about Jesus. Classes include Bible teaching, craft projects, and other activities designed to help preschoolers have fun and learn about Jesus and the Bible. Our goal is to have two teachers in every class at all times.  Preschoolers learn through organized play in Sunday School.

Class breakdown:

Elephants:  Birth-Toddler, Giraffes:  2’s and 3’s, Tigers: 4’s-K

Promotion to next class based on school year.

Children's Ministries

SUNDAY MORNING:

• Pre- K thru Kindergarten        • 1st Grade

• 6th grade

Classes include Bible teaching, Bible projects, and other activities designed to help children have fun, and learn and apply lessons about the Bible and Jesus. Our goal is to have two teachers in every classroom at all times. 

WEDNESDAY EVENING:

Awana Clubs International                                       6:30 - 8:00 pm

September through May

For ages 3 (by September 1st and potty trained) through grade school.  Awana focuses on teaching kids the Bible and memorizing Bible verses to help them grow in their understanding and faith in Jesus Christ.  There is also a 30-minute game time. We have a staff of about 25 adults that work together to serve the Lord in this ministry each week. Space is limited in this program. For more information see our AWANA page.

OTHER EVENTS:

In addition to these weekly ministries, we offer many other exciting children’s events throughout the year including Vacation Bible School, Children’s Camp, Children’s Musicals and Dramas, and other events.
