Helping Hands Ministries

From time to time members of our church family have genuine needs that other members have the talents and gifts to meet. At First Baptist Church, we have a ministry to connect these people.

The Helping Hands Ministry lists members that have volunteered to be “on call” in a time of need. These members can give aid in the areas of automotive, carpentry, plumbing or electrical work. They can assist in painting, sewing or helping with home electronics (connecting VCR’s/TV’s/stereo’s/computers). Others are gifted in childcare for emergency baby sitting or working with younger children like a big brother/sister. Others are willing to drive someone to a doctor appointment, visit shut-ins, provide meals, offer house cleaning or help with moving. If there is a need, there is likely someone who is willing and able to meet that need, but people are only called upon to help serve when there is a genuine ministry need.
