This Sunday we begin our Lottie Moon Christmas Campaign.

The Lottie Moon Christmas Offering® is an annual offering collected by believers around the world to support international missions. The offering was officially named in 1918 by Woman’s Missionary Union in honor of the missionary to China who urged churches to start it and give sacrificially.

Our church wide goal is that every family will participate in the gift of giving.

This offering is unique from other mission offerings in that 100% of gifts provide for missionaries all over the world. It is a valuable part of Southern Baptists' 175-year history of reaching the nations with the gospel and vital to reaching the vision of a multitude from every language, people, tribe and nation knowing and worshiping our Lord Jesus Christ (Revelation 7:9).

Please pray and consider your gift this Christmas. Please be sure to mark your check and/or envelope "Lottie Moon." If you give online please be sure to select "Lottie Moon" from the drop down menu. Thank you all for giving sacrificially.

Just a quick note to let you know that our finance team will be handing out our 2023 proposed budget to everyone this Sunday.

They are asking each of us to review the budget, pray over it, and then join us on Sunday, December 18th, right after service, for a vote by our membership on our 2023 budget.

Please be sure you reach out to either Kim Ray, John Duggan, or Cindy White if you have questions about the budget.

Stay safe and warm and mark your calendar for our business meeting on December 18th.

Update from our Pastoral Support and Advisory Council:

Ron Shepard accepted the Council's invitation to extend as our transitional pastor through the end of March. Ron will begin men's training in December towards the goal of proposing new deacons in February.

Baptism is scheduled for January 8. Please contact the church office if you would like information about being baptized.

The finance team has completed a draft of our 2023 budget and presented it to the council. The finance team is asking for feedback from the council as the proposed budget is not in balance, tithing is down, and ministry costs are up. We will pass the proposed budget out to the congregation on December 4th and call a business meeting for voting on December 18th. Contact Kim Ray if you have any questions.

Pastor Search Team is completing the focus groups over the next couple weeks. They are continuing their work on a detailed church profile to be able to offer any potential pastors along with a detailed job description. Contact Doug White if you have questions.

The council will not meet again until January 15th.

May God know us as people who give generously and sacrificially.
