Children's Church Notice
Currently, we do not provide a dedicated children's church program. Nonetheless, we do offer a nursery service catering to children aged 0-4 years. Furthermore, we are in the process of implementing interactive materials to engage your children during the service while the sermon is delivered.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A typical service begins with a call to worship from a Psalm and corporate prayer. We will sing several hymns/songs, followed by additional Scripture reading, and then a sermon. The preaching at First Baptist Monroe is expositional, verse by verse, book by book. In other words, we preach through whole books of the Bible, both from the Old and New Testament. We conclude with more singing and a Scriptural benediction. Our services generally run an hour and a half. We observe the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of every month.
Our music is carefully considered by the pastor(s) to ensure what we are singing is theologically grounded in Scripture, outlines the gospel message, and captures major Biblical themes. Whether a song is old or new has no bearing on whether we sing it corporately, only that is rooted in truth and sound doctrine.
